I know the posts on any operating system HOW-TO articles are technical but for us folks who are developing OS X Cocoa apps or Linux Qt/GTK+ applications, articles from the Source being linked here seems rather redundant.

Leopard vertical gradients

Apple's graphic designers seem fond of vertical linear gradients nowadays and they're using them for the new ADC articles' diagrams. After the retouched look of iTunes 5.0, it seems clear that Leopard will sport a totally new look which will replace Aqua and outpass Windows Vista and KDE 4.0 cloning efforts.

Well thanks to 10.4 the technology is their. 10.4 was mainly a developer release Apple seem to shub spotlight and dashboard etc to keep the end user happy. But under 10.4 apple including some technologies that will keep the developer happy. 10.5 should be interesting...
