If you are referring to shells such as BASH, C Shell and Korn Shell, there is no need to reinvent anything. These have been ported to Windows for a long time. There are native Win32 and Services for UNIX ports as well as Cygwin ports that run under emulation.
Why does the fact that these are currently the best shells lead you to “just say no” to a better shell in the future? Is it simply because Microsoft is building the next generation shell that you will not look at it? If you ignore technologies made by companies you do not like, do you have “a clue”?
