Fedora Just Synced with gnome 2.14 final, and has been running fine here, will stick with fedora from now on after my experience with fc5t3, and now that the place I work at is converting all the computers we do quality checks on over to fedora as part of our govt contracts, it will be a welcome sight 
I started out on RH 5.1(?) learned to hate gnome & RPMs, then tried Mandrake. Still hated RPMS. Then I found Slackware and fell in love.
Fedora Core 5 test 3 is the first release in 6 years of any RPM based distro that I like. Now true, I had to fight it to get Nvidia's binary drivers working. It was also fun getting my own custom kernel working, but I suppose that's a given
