IBM's Rational Application Developer edged past Borland's JBuilder to receive the highest overall relative scores against top IDEs including Eclipse, Macromedia Studio MX, and Oracle Developer Suite. IDEs were ranked in 13 distinct categories including compiler/interpreter, debugger, editor, compiler performance, performance of resulting apps, ease of use, sample apps, and libraries/frameworks."

I didn't even realise Borland was still making products. It seemed so quiet after their C and ASM offerings appeared to have lost in the marketplace. I wonder how much of the market they have?

It has been pretty alive for me, I've been using Borland's IDES since 1997 and the community is huge but mostly in Europe, Russia and Japan.

How do you honestly compare the performance of Flash generated by Macromedia Studio MX to that of native or CLR applications generated by Visual Studio?
