Amiga & AROS The AROS Show has an interview with AROS Developer Hogne T. "AROS Native gives me no troubles with compiling anything. I use it for the whole development process. I do not even run Linux Hosted at the moment. AROS Native with SFS has some problems with unix ported apps, and I have to compile in RAM:, but other than that, I use Native without any problems." They sure have come a long way since I last tested it. I'm very tempted..

2 questions:
-What's the state of internet apps? I know a TCP/IP stack was ported..but are there any decent browsers?
-Does AROS have that neat little multiple screen-dragging feature?

Ok, slightly stupid of me. My first question was answered by reading the second half of the interview. Damn you tabbed browsing ;)

AROS is sure comng along well.

I'd love to be able to run it on a dedicated box as an alternate system.

I think that's not long in coming.

Amigans should only be concentrating on AROS instead of the 2 sinking ships knows as AmigaOS4 and MorphOS. AROS could convert back the amigans lost to *NIX in a heartbeat. And bring in some more.

AmigaOS4 is obviously doomed, no matter how many updates Hyperion rolls out. Unless they find someone to make new hardware. I doubt we'll see new something this year. Or the next.

Genesi, well they're mostly a Linux shop. Granted MorphOS couldn't keep them afloat but to the average Amigan, Linux isn't really what they want. Amigans want a new Amiga to replace their old dying hardware.
