"A few weeks ago, he posted a question on an Ubuntu list. Not an order. Not a policy decision. A question: "Should we think about...?" he asked. Collaboration, community and teamwork are part of his personal style."
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Who *reads* this crap?
I wasn't going to reply to this at first but then I read the thing and appreciate your warning ;-).
"His open-source contributions are laudatory." Erm, no... they are laudable. If he had gone around praising others in the open-source arena then he could be described as laudatory (ugly word!) -- but the rest of that paragraph describes his own contributions to open-source, which means the correct word there was laudable.
I try to avoid being pedantic most of the time (OK, yes, I am a CompSci) but, seriously, the people writing for a website that looks as pretentious as that ought to at least back it up by having a clue -- and, as the first comment points out, should take some of the added sugar out of the facts, too.
Wow; I feel better now. I think I must not have had enough sleep!
P.S. I suppose this is only one data point and people are allowed to have bad days...
