I had a MSI Wind and did not like it that much. Now I tested the EEE PC with multitouch on its trackpad and it really makes the thing a lot more usuable for me.
I hope that Linux will support multitouch on all capable trackpads ... it really is that good (at least for me).
Do the Acer netbooks support multitouch?
For putting a larger battery in it, they've not added too much extra weight - 1.45kg seems about the same as listed for their current 10" models. On the other hand, competitor models all seem to be around the 1kg mark, so maybe they've done it by trimming excess weight from it's predecessors.
Tell me about it. I just got a Samsung NC10. I knew these things were on their way but I couldn't wait. There's always better tech on the way. If you worried too much about missing out, you'd never get anything. I'm happy with what I've got. Hopefully I can go at least a couple of years without upgrading.
They are talking about fast boot, so there must be Linux options. Not that Linux is currently fast-booting in general, but unlike XP it can be made to be so.
After all, it was on an Asus 901 that the current race to the fastest boot started when it was shown to boot into linux in less than 5 seconds.
