Legal Intel has filed suit against NVIDIA seeking a declaratory judgment over rights associated with two agreements between the companies. The suit seeks to have the court declare that NVIDIA is not licensed to produce chipsets that are compatible with any Intel processor that has integrated memory controller functionality, such as Intel’s Nehalem microprocessors and that NVIDIA has breached the agreement with Intel by falsely claiming that it is licensed. Intel claims that it has been in discussions with NVIDIA for more than a year attempting to resolve the matter but were unsuccessful. As a result Intel is asking the court to resolve this dispute. Shall we rename OSNews to CourtNews?

Wouldn't this just hurt intel more than it would nvidia? If i were buying a new system in the next few years I know I would probably go intel with a nvidia chipset over intel with an intel chipset.

This is just a company feeling to comfortable. Intel can see that AMD can't keep up and if everything stays as it is now they will soon have a virtual monopoly. They can increase their profits from the chipset market by denying everybody supporting their new CPUs - Nehalems will be sooner or later mainstream and AMD has nothing in sight that can compete with that.

has nice gfx boards. Why should someone use nvidia. They had their chance with Nano and they throwed it to S3. Better lack with ... Lemote ????
