OSNews, Generic OSes There's been a new release of DOSBox, version 0.73. It's got support for more graphics modes and cards, improved Vista support, new OPL emulation cores, sound fixes and improvements for Mac OS X, lots of compatibility fixes, lots of CD-ROM detection improvements, lots of memory (EMS/XMS) improvements, various fixes and enhancements for the recompiling core, and much more.

I think many people take DOSBox for granted, but it is a very well-done program. I use it to play one of my all-time favorite games - Jazz Jackrabbit.

Way to go, guys!

I have been looking for a Linux port of Commander Keen that is easy to compile, but never once thought to use DOSbox to run it. I hope it is as good as I remember it - excellent playability

That's the way it's run on Windows if you buy it from Steam, with DosBox.

DOSBox is an awesome way to relive the memories of old DOS gaming. I am using it to play the original Civilization.

Is there an idiot proof way to use it?

Some games work some games don't.

Any good front ends to make things easier.
