Games "The many thousands of free games available for Linux has made it difficult to select which ones deserve a special mention. For this article, our objective is not to necessarily select games which have flawless graphics and sound, but instead to identify games which are highly addictive and have great playability. It has taken us weeks of heated discussions to whittle down the games into just 42 titles. We have tried to cover a wide range of game genres. Hopefully there will be something in this article which will be of interest to any type of gamer."

Wouldn't it make more sense to point the link at the URL of the start of the article, instead of the middle page out of 3?

Cube2: Sauerbraten

Silly, they link to Sauerbraten the game engine but don't put the actual game in the first person shooter list. Go and download, i've been addicted to this for about a year and a half; longer than my obsession with Unreal back-in-the-day. We could start our own OSNews server ;0) it is certaily addictive and has great gameplay.

It's tough to beat a good ol game of XBill. Stopping Bill Gates from replacing all the SGI, SUN, NeXT, Apple, OSF, etc. workstations with Windows. Good times...

Edit: fixed typo

PlaneShift, the free, open source MMORPG. Although it is not finished it is quite playable and addictive.

I am just grateful that the community have stopped including Tux Racer as the ultimate evidence of linux-gaming as they used to.

X-Moto is missing from the list and it's one of my favorites.
