Microsoft Those who enjoy the popular television show will be happy to know that November 8, 2009 will feature a variety show from the makers of Family Guy, and it will play for its entire allotted time without any commercial interruption-- courtesy of Microsoft. The company has made a deal with Fox to have Windows 7 propaganda integrated into a special entitled "Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show," which will include varied live-action Family Guy musical performances, animated shorts, and celebrity guest appearances. Just how the show will be used to advertise Windows 7 is unclear, but the folks at Microsoft say that "you'll see us deeply integrated into the content... you'll hear a lot about how Windows 7 can help you simplify your PC -- it's simple, fast and easy to use." So sit back in the lazy chair on November 8th, take a bite out of your Windows-branded toast, and enjoy.

I bet they will have Peter playing John Hodgman's character in a spoof of the "I'm a Mac - I'm a PC" commercial.

I'll definitely be doing something else that day! If they can buy a 1/2 hour show, then we are in the final days. I'm pretty sure that's one of the seven seals we just heard break, according to scripture, Bill and windows 7 will now bring peace to the whole planet....
O.k., that was my best attempt at family show humor... and it was lame!
p.s. I hope that little oriental girl is on the show and has an epic battle with Stewie...

Heh, when I read "seven ceils" I immediately thought of the Wheel of Time series. When the seven ceils break, the dark one will be free. Perhaps MS is run by darkfriends? ;)

Bet they dont mention anything about having to run anti virus on Windows to prevent becoming a bot. How much you wanna bet? I just lost all respect for that show. Thats not an anti-microsoft thing, I would lose respect for any show that sells it self JUST to sell a product.

I agree. Product placement is one thing, but shilling for a company blatantly is another altogether. I like to at least TRY to keep my ads separate from my shows.

Personally, I think Microsoft just crossed the moral event horizon by associating themselves with Family Guy, but.

This commercial will probably rank close to the Microsoft commercial with Seinfeld in irrelevancy.

I bet it won't be anywhere near as awesome as their Windows 386 promo vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swFlU-FKg30 ) or their Win95 promo vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GWQgb015Lc ).

looked the episode of Family guy where Carter made Bill Gates cry about the Zune.

Neither the simpsons or family guy are funny anymore, much prefer American Dad or Code Monkeys
