OSNews, Generic OSes Version of KolibriOS, the OS with its kernel and most applications written in assembler, is out. One of the biggest improvements is the port of the linux ATIKMS driver (meaning, resolutions such as 1920x1080 now work). Other changes include new games and improvements on the network applications.

seeing new, non mainsteam operating systems, pop up with proper ati/amd graphic cards support makes me happy to have an ati card.

i'll go check out the state of intel support in kolibri os too, out of curiosity.

Fast and a bitt odd

This OS is fast, and I like the games included. The 3D demo's were also impressive.

I'm curious what the direction for this OS will be, because it's a bit odd: There are 3 very different filemanagers included, it's a very distinct desktop oriented os (music player, image viewer, games) but also has built in servers, and it's like a younger brother of kde...

More of these kinds of OS's please!
