If the number of comments was to be taken as a testament to interest, the Microsoft+security pair fails miserably.

Great move, Microsoft... anyway. There is such a tendency to ignore (or deny support for) old products that any contrary move is laudable.

The "side" news generally get less interest (and comments) than the main ones. Even for the main news, some news don't attract much attention (not too many comments).

With respect to this case, it is almost a matter of fact that Microsoft's products have major security holes and that it usually takes quite some time to get them patched. The nature of this one though might be the object of an IT joke at some point in the future!
