Original OSNews Interviews Some software companies might find a new OS a daunting thing to develop for. Not Alias |Wavefront. This leading developer of 3D animation software, recently released the new OSX version of their flagship product, Maya. For a company that wasn't a player in the MacOS world, this is pretty significant vote of confidence in Apple's new OS. OSNews spoke with Andrew Pearce, the Director of Maya Technologies at Alias|Wavefront and with TheOrphanage's Kevin Baille (Visual Effects Artist).

Eugenia, I know you tinker with any OS you can get in your fingers and that there's something to bitch about everywhere but...is it just coincidence that we're seeing quite a few MOX-friendly articles on OSNews or are you slowly evolving into a Mac-fan? ;)

As you can see from the Titles of all these three recent macosx stories, this is a "MacOSX Week Special", that we hold this week on OSNews. It is a 'feature'. We are preparing for a "FreeBSD Week Special" on January (we got 4 people working on articles for that week). After that, we will see... ;)

BTW, please re-read the article, as we have just re-published it... We had some errors in the first version of the article that came out in the first half an hour... sorry. Fixed now. :o)

This interview reads like an Apple/A|W advertisement pamphlet. Really, no one dares to say anything that could remotely hint at a trace of criticism. It's all PR bla bla without a trace of interesting info or depth in my eyes.

Since now Eugenia's been criticized for just spitting out Apple PR, and previously she's been criticized for obviously being a Mac hater, I now facetiously declare the coverage to be officially balanced by virtue of pissing off zealots on both sides.
