Conversations It's ok if someone likes it, but when i try to hide it... i can't.
There is "red x" button to hide it and option in preferences, but no matter how many times i try to hide it, it stays there... ugly box laughing at me and my lack of ability to remove it ;P.

Look harder. It's there, in your preferences.

Maybe i wrote message too hard to understand (my English poor), but: i already DID try that.

I DID select "Hide feature box" and clicked on "Save preferences" button. Many times. Without any effect.

Opt in versus opt out would get my vote. It *is* a bit annoying. Especially when it's displaying a big picture of Steve Balmer and stuff like that.

Especially when opt out doesn't work.

Exactly. I contected them about it but they probably don't care. About 1/10th of my screen is now actual OSNews stories, the rest is ads, useless sidebar, feature box, menu, blah blah blah. With the old layout almost everything was OSNews stories.
