Conversations When a comment receives more that 4 replies, only those first 4 ones are accesible in the Nested or Threaded views. You can onlu access "deeper replies" in Flat view, which is kind of ackward.

At the very least, there should be a "See more of this thread" link whenever the replies count goes beyond 4 that lets you access those (hopefuly) hidden treasures.

That is already there, and always has been.

You certainly do not have to be in flat mode.

Mmm, ok Adam, found it:

In this post's comments: http://osnews.com/comments/19364
If I click on "RE[4]: Comment by zizban" by Soulbender, I'm indeed sent to a page where I can see deeper replies ( http://osnews.com/thread?301572 ). All good, but...

In this page http://osnews.com/comments/19364 (nested or threaded view) there is no visual indication that a thread goes deeper than what's shown.

I hope that my half-baked English let's you understand what I mean.

Is it possible to make this an option? I hate having to click the see more link, because it takes you away from the rest of the thread. I'd like to see all threads, no matter how long.

Can't you slowly reduce the amount of indenting so that all posts can be seen? or stop indenting after a while?

I'd be interested in that also. Nested view is my preference, in order to logically follow replies and replies-to-replies, but it's a bummer not seeing all of the posts without opening different pages.

What should happen after it gets more than 4 replies? It will start wrapping if it continues to indent.

Just stop indenting.Because they are one after the other (assuming they are in conversation order) the thread will be followable and the end will be eaisy to see because the next message 'sub-thread' will be outdented in relation to the sub thread being read.
