Odd about gnomefiles (etc) redirecting. Sounds like it's a temporary bug rather than the sites shutting down though.

If you're after themes and widgets then http://www.gnome-look.org/ could be worth a look.

I can't really help beyond that as all my applications come from my distro's reposatory.

I've been doing a code audit to find the problems so we can put it back online. It's REALLY old code and it wasn't written by me, so it's taking some time, but I hope to help them get it running soon.

Just for that, he deserves the 2008 Gnomie award. Previous winners were the Gnome Foot and the dancing "Yes/OK/Please Just Do It" button.

Seriously, thanks. I don't download stuff from Gnomefiles (I try to live in my repository if at all possible), but I find it a good place to see what is new in the GTK/Gnome world of software.
