Editorial It's conventional wisdom that computers need to be "easier to use." But do they? More reliable, yes. Easier to troubleshoot, yes. But now that so many people use computers so much, I think there's something to be said for making them less easy-to-use and less intuitive.

I understand that computers may currently suffer flaws resulting from making things too user friendly. Think about it, the higher level your code, the more layers of libraries you tend to use. More room for error creeps in, but I disagree that having computers that are not user friendly is needed. The more people we have using computers the more information they can gather and use to get things done more efficiently and then they can move on to spend time on more important things like family or perhaps even furthering technological innovation.
