The maemo team has just released a development version of a new browser engine, built on open source and Mozilla technologies. Testers and contributors are welcome. This version is functional, safe and available for download. It works on the Nokia N800 with the latest Internet Tablet OS 2007.

It is kinda amazing to think of being able to fit Gecko onto a 'phone. I would think that KHTML or Opera would fit better, but if Gecko works for them, more power to them although Gecko can feel a bit heavy on a desktop.
