Hi-Mobile sent us over the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman feature phone for a review, and we give it a whirl. It's been over a year since the last time we tested the non-smartphone Sony Ericsson platform and it's interesting to see the advancements in the software department.

I've owned 3 SE phones to this date, all of them were/are lower-end: T310, K300 and W300 (which i'm using right now) and none of them experienced any problems like that. A few of my friends have SE phones (a T610, T630 and 2x K750) and they work fine also.
The k300 after 24 months of usage looked terrible, but was still working fine - i gave it to a friend who exchanged the case and still uses it now.
The way things are going my next cell will probably als o be a Sony Ericsson.
You must have been unlucky or something (or maybe I was just lucky ).
