Windows Mike Nash, Microsoft's security business and technology unit corporate vice president, has said Longhorn would accord end-users certain rights and privileges apparently ending the concept that everyone using their PC is also the PC's administrator. The problem I have is that I have no choice but to run as an Administrator on my system since some of the apps that I run require admin permissions. If Microsoft stops the practice of making users admins by default maybe the app developers will fix their problems so I can be a regular user like on my linux boxes.
