I did a clean install on my Dell E1505n laptop yesterday. So far, so good. Everything was detected, hardware-wise - except the built-in Winmodem, which I don't use anyway. They even restored the Ctrl-Alt arrow keys for moving between virtual screens, which had been missing from earlier versions.
