Apple today announced upgrades to the Mac Pro and the Xserve, which now feature Intel Penryn processors. Quad-core processors that go up to 3.2 Ghz, powerful video cards, and superfast front-side bus and memory make these especially delicious, however, there are still no Blu-ray drives available. I agree completely. If you want to run MacOS you have to go with a Mac which means you won't be able to select hardwire options that best fit your price/performance requirements and you may have to pay a premium for a part which is available for far less.
