Application virtualization veteran
Citrix, who
last year purchased Xensource, today announced their
intention to deliver XenDesktop, based on their thin client technology, for the iPhone. While similar applications exist in the form of
VNSea, Citrix is a major player in virtualization and this certainly bodes well for those who want to connect to remote devices via their iPhone. Citrix demo'ed their wifi-only application at the Citrix Application Delivery Conference in Australia this week.

Tomcat,
This shows you what happens when you buy a company and then rebrand your existing products around the name of the company you bought (Xen). We call it complete confusion.
They ported their RDP client, which is good news. Now if they can get it to work with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the iPhone may become quite attractive as a small "road warrior" platform to get access to some of those corporate apps I need on the road.
