Convicted killer Hans Reiser led police on Monday to what he said was the body of his wife in the Oakland hills, just two days before he was to be sentenced for first-degree murder, authorities said.

Uh? Stabbing or shooting someone requires that either:
-you carry a gun or a knife with you which means that the murder was planned in advance
-or that you go and retrieve it, so it's not something which happens in a second as you said.
I really don't want to debate which way is worse, I just wanted to point out that your logic is specious..
