The SkyOS team has released SkyOS Build 6947. This release comes with the new email client as well as the new integrated development environment which we reported about earlier. The SkyOS API has been extended with new classes, and of course a lot of bugs have been squashed.

As I said above, I don't know if it even works on my hardware so how can I buy something if I don't know if it works? Every software has a trial/demo period.
I don't mind paying for software that works and I've paid for Windows because it does work regardless what the OSS hard code fans say about it. In fact, I encourage Robert, I really do to continue selling his OS as everyone needs to make money BUT not giving away a public demo is a bit non-realistic I think. It's like getting a car without driving it first.
I know they said they will create a public demo Live CD on the final release and I am waiting for that moment. When they do release it, if it works and I like it I WILL buy it and even start developing third part apps for it if all comes into place!
Here is an example: I really like the look of eComStation. I like the fact that looks and works like Windows and I like the Windows-like classic look. They have a demo cd! Wohoo! Yay! I pop the demo and all I am getting is a blank screen! Won't even boot! So why would I spend the money for something that does not work on *my* hardware? I manage to see the loading screen in a virtual machine but then it just restarts. I put SkyOS in the same category. Even if they put a 10 seconds demo of the desktop, all I want to see whether I can at least boot the OS.
