Mac OS X MacNN reports that Apple today released Mac OS X 10.4.2, which the company says delivers overall improved reliability and compatibility for Mac OS X v10.4 and is recommended for all users. It includes fixes for file sharing, authentication, autologin, AirPort/wireless access, several graphics updates, .Mac fixes, Apple's core applications, and more.

I've also removed all widgets from Dashboard (never use them). Firefox is still slow, but MSN Messenger doesn't cause the machine to pizza wheel anymore. However, I'd forgotten that the one site I use that didn't work in Safari now does, so I've moved back off Firefox...

Its "usable" now. Still prefer to have 10.3.9 back.
