Apple held an event today announcing some of the new features coming in iPhone OS v3. Thee were loads and loads ofnew features, but the big ones are cut/copy/paste functionality, push notifications (I guess most developers will believe it when they finally see it), spotlight search, and many others.

Supposedly its related to Accounting rules, but honestly I think that is a load of BS. I don't know of any other vendor that does anything like that. Take the PS3 for example. Since its launch there have been many improvements and new functionality added and yet there is no charge for it. The list goes on and on. Apple is the only company that seems to interpret the rules this way.
Is there an accountant here who can give us their opinion?
