Vexi is a thin client that is borne out of the exact frustrations articulated in the introduction to this article.

We have been working hard on it for the past 3 years, it has been in development for 8 years. Sadly the website, documentation and demos do not currently show off the technology in its best light - but now we are on the verge of a major stable release (the first since the project's inception) that will support for the forseeable future, we are working behind the scenes to overhaul the web face of the project so we can retain more interest.
There are lots of cool facets to Vexi development, and I hope to send an article in to OSNews at some point in the future when we can point to our website with pride - hopefully sometime in September. Until then...
