Linux user Tess Flynn joins us to follow up on the feedback from last week's episode about Xorg.
Something many people ignore with a 32bit vs 64bit os's.
Even though the OS may be able to use more then 2gig or memory (2-8gig or so)
The applications still limited to 2gig. (since each pointer is 32bit)
I have ran into this a number of times when dealing with large 3D datasets and compositing high resolution HDR images on linux before I used a 64bit system. Edited 2009-08-24 15:48 UTC
