Opera Software After a long gestation period, Opera has released version 10 of their browser, which comes packed with a whole lot of improvements and new features. It's got a completely new interface, a turbo mode for those days of bandwith drought, automatic updates (finally!), and lots more.

Automatic updates have no business being within an application! In all common variants of popular OSes the permissions are user-based, and the user running a browser shouldn't have access to upgrade system applications.)

Of course, you're right. When it comes to updating applications on my system, I'd rather just have Casper do it for me.

In regard to all this talk about Opera being the first to innovate with new features, it unfortunately has what I like to call 'The Gimp syndrome' - definitely capable in its functionality, but a complete pain in the ass to use.
For version 10.5, they should probably focus a little less on innovation (and whining to the EU) and a little more on user-friendliness. That way, perhaps more than 5 people would want to use it.
