We reported earlier on a blog post entitled "Ubuntu Report Card (2009)" where the author detailed how they felt the Ubuntu experience had improved over the years. ... Given that fact that I'm using Alsa on 5 different sounds cards (SB1, SB2SZ, 3 different variants of snd_hda) and have yet to experience any problems - your post is dangerously close to FUD'ing.
