The future of integrated graphics processors lies somewhere on the dies of future processors, that much is a certainty. However, this creates a big problem for NVIDIA, whose chipset business will be out, of well, business. Beating everybody to the punch, the company announced yesterday that it is ceasing all development on future chipsets, citing unfair business practices from Intel.

Well not madness but the new core i7 is pushing more and more into SOC territory. Putting everything on one die is faster and ends up being cheaper for whole systems. NVidia doesn't have a place in this new world.
Its getting about time x86 and wintel had more competition. Right now intel rules (at the high end) but its just a matter of time before they start making p4/rambust type mistakes again.
