Hardware, Embedded Systems Now this is an interesting case. Late last week news got out that Apple is refusing to repair machines still under AppleCare from customers who smoke, citing health risks from second-hand smoke. Wait, what?

I have been a smoker for years!

This is why I build my own machines! The local government says I can't smoke in a restaurant and they even want to ban me from doing it outdoors!

I think it is a shame that society thinks they can tell people what to do in my own home! Get a life! Everything kills!

I have used computers all my life and I am yet to have one fail from smoking!

Ty for calling support may I help you?

Consumer: Yes my motherboard has failed at it is still under warranty, I would like an RMA

Company: We produce defective parts in hopes of a fat, smoker, high cholesterol, heart problems, marital problems, children or pets person gets our products! If you have any of the above this may be harmful to the longevity of our defective products! We cannot offer support under these circumstances!

Consumer: What?

This is BS!

I don't care if you like the smell of my system! non-smokers have whined and got it banned in public places, now the want it out of our homes!

Me: Non-smoker, your eating offends me

Non-smoker: What?

Kind of crazy if you ask me!
