Graphics, User Interfaces For as long as I can remember, I've been having issues with scrolling in Windows and its applications. When scrolling via dragging the scroll blob, it seemed as if Windows had the annoying habit of randomly resetting your scroll blob to its starting position, which irritated me to no end. It took me a while to figure out, but I finally know when this behaviour occurs - now I just need to know: why?!

1. Optimize vertical real estate by turning your widescreen (aka shortscreen) monitor sideways. Obviously, this isn't an option on laptops. Personally, I refuse to buy a new one until they stop making them in aspect ratios that put movie watching before doing actual work.

Ditto! While the Thinkpads (especially the X series) have been mocked for sticking with 4:3 displays after most others had gone widescreen, I actually prefer it and was disappointed when Lenovo changed that with the x200/300 models.
