Windows As inevitable as the tides rolling in: every time a new Windows version is released, someone with too much time on his hands tries to install it on extremely outdated hardware. Sure, it won't be usable by any standard whatsoever, but it's still a fun thing to do. Of course, Windows 7 couldn't lag behind.

Yes, it is fun to see what can be done with old hardware. Windows 7 is a nice OS. I have a RC on an Evo610c and it's running very well. On my Thinkpad 600 with 266 Megahertz of power I'm running PclinuxOS Minime 2009. It's my airport laptop that doubles as a small table for my coffee and muffin. With 224mb of memory it's very usable, it's what I'm using to comment with right now.
