Windows As inevitable as the tides rolling in: every time a new Windows version is released, someone with too much time on his hands tries to install it on extremely outdated hardware. Sure, it won't be usable by any standard whatsoever, but it's still a fun thing to do. Of course, Windows 7 couldn't lag behind.

It's interesting to some people here that Windows 7 *can* run on such an old machine. Given it's been called a leaner OS than Vista, it's interesting to get a feel for how lean. It's not revolutionary, it's just a bit of geeky news - but this is a geek news site.

I hear some folks climb to the tops of mountains even though there's nothing of value up there!
