I find it difficult to believe that they just ditched their new GPUs that arrived in the iPhone 3G S and third generation iPod touch, especially when they have money invested in the company that provides them.
Wouldn't it make more sense to use the license they already have to create a SoC with a non-ARM-based GPU to continue what they were doing?
I think Bright Side of the News were looking for their 15 minutes of fame, like so many others who jump on an Apple event. After all, there is an "expert" in every crowd.
