BeOS & Derivatives Haiku is aiming at a tentative May 10 release for R1 Alpha 2. Ingo Weinhold, one of the recently contracted developers, is the acting release coordinator. Testing of nightly pre-release builds is encouraged.

Thats probably not going to happen maybe next alpha...or later

There is an installoptionalpackages script now to make installing some extra stuff easier and Web+ is supposed to be the default browser for Alpha2. Bezilla has been removed and is now optional

Packagesfs isn't finished yet so that will probably be next alpha I think it might allow updating not sure I think the current blocker on it is having a writable overlay on top of the package so you can modify files

My Wishlist: 3D acceleration, PCI-E atheros 928X wifi support (I haven't checked but I think it still isn't), encryption of course, Stack and tile (Probably the most inovative thing at the moment)
