Please make sure people can hand edit /etc/inittab!!
Not the stuff AIX makes you do with chitab/mkitab commands. Accidently editing /etc/inittab with vi on some AIX boxes forces you to reboot (at least thats what my admins say the solution is) because the OS and the inittab get out of sync. Yuck.
