The urbanized, technologically-advanced nation has been famous for rolling out ultra high speed network for the majority of its citizens, and many of us have looked on with envy. I saw at least one in my vicinity on every ride on the Yamanote line, less often on the Ginza line, and often while walking around.
Multiple people at the 'guesthouse'(hostel, really) I was staying at had them, including all the people that worked there.

That was Tokyo, though.
