Java "Oracle and IBM today announced that the companies will collaborate to allow developers and customers to build and innovate based on existing Java investments and the OpenJDK reference implementation. Specifically, the companies will collaborate in the OpenJDK community to develop the leading open source Java environment."

Not closely related to the article itself, but has anyone noticed how slow the Java Platform Documentation site has become since the url changed to

I am seriously wondering what Oracle's plans for Java are. Lawsuits on one side, complete disregard to details (such as the one above) on the other. The future certainly doesn't seem too bright. So seeing at least another big player, like IBM on the scene might actually be very welcome.
