Google Google has confirmed on the official Android Developer Twitter account that the Android Market has surpassed the milestone of 100000 applications. In perspective, Steve Jobs said last week that the Apple App Store now contains over 300000 applications. Having said that, the Android Market has now arguably reached a point where the difference becomes almost immaterial in a practical sense, because even with only 100000 applications it is unlikely anyone will be short-changed for choice.

(True as in, there will be no lack of choice)

I'm about to find out what all the fuss is about re: Android. I have to develop an Android app over the next month, so will be interested in seeing what it can do.

I just got myself a new iPhone 4, after having my iPhone 3G for over 2 years. The difference is speed is pretty great, esp. as I had iOS4.2 beta on the 3G (iOS 3 was faster). But using Safari on the same network is so much nicer on the new phone, I put them side by side and can see the difference.

I hope my Android 2.2 phone will be as good (from all reports it will be)
