I guess I better get upgrade from Woody then.
But serially, folks, this is a good move. One thing my son really disliked about Linux was how long he had to wait for the latest Firefox or OpenOffice. When Firefox releases a version with a 10x improvement in javascript performance, you don't want to wait 6 months for it. I know you can manually do some of this, but this defeats the purpose of the repository concept.
I assume there will still be an LTS release (that does not do this) for the millions of enterprise customers...
