Graphics, User Interfaces As an answer to someone asking whether Unity will require a working OpenGL stack to operate in Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal", Mark Shuttleworth announced that Canonical would offer an optional, QT-based, "2D" implementation of Unity. Here is a video, too.

Am I the only one who thinks that Ubuntu's UI team should be forbidden from using their Macs and forced to use an Amiga instead when they're doing their design work ?

I mean... First the window buttons, next this dock and strange menubar... This just looks like a very cheap OSX clone to me. Can't they use a little more imagination ?
