For all the chatter about the "bazaar", the "Cathedral", "Many eyes make bugs cry etc" linux continues to lose its relevance.
In an era when you have the top tablet maker talking "Post PC" - linux didn't even reach that level of recognition in the first place.
The shift to web apps only makes the problem worse as the linux desktop solves a problem that Microsoft solved a long time ago, and it does it in a more painful fashion.
Developers: Instead of working on this non winner, go build a web app that people will actually use and value.
