"HTC is disappointed at Apple's constant attempts at litigations instead of competing fairly in the market," said HTC general counsel Grace Lei in a statement, "HTC strongly denies all infringement claims raised by Apple in the past and present and reiterates our determination and commitment to protect our intellectual property rights."

The entire history & development of this planet has come about from civilisations discovering things and passing the knowledge on. Wtf are we to decide that that is against the grain and enclose ideas in this ownership squabble. It’d be bloody hilarious if the estate of Archimedes' still had a patent on the screw*

*rumoured to not be his discovery, but like Edison, as long as you get the patent and all that…
