AMD continues to support open-source hardware enablement on their latest graphics processors and recently even hired more developers to work on the code and documentation. How far have they come though in four years?

With the amount of resources they likely have devoted to the open driver, I'm just glad that there are two (open and proprietary) options to choose from.

It also shows the amount of work it takes to get top performance out of a driver; a lot!
