I've used GNOME since the early 1.x days and I've felt it's got progressively worse, yes, even with 2.x.


I actually liked GNOME 2.x myself a lot. I tried different DEs every now and then out of boredom and curiosity and still always came back.

Besides, when Linus Torvalds himself says it's a pile of crap, perhaps it's time to listen...


Adopting another person's opinion instead of making your own one, just because the other person is famous, is foolish.
