Legal I guess this is something many Americans hope would happen in the United States: the Dutch competition watchdog has raided offices of T-Mobile, Vodafone and KPN, the three Dutch carriers. The three carriers are accused of illegal price fixing, something they've already been found guilty of about ten years ago.

So let government just set the price they can ask. That has worked so well in the past 2,000 years.

The other obvious answer would be: why not try capitalism? Yes, you read that right. Why does a country the size of The Netherlands have only 3 carriers? I bet you'll find that the government regulates and forbids competitors from entering the market.
